It is of utmost importance that you read this Privacy Policy thoroughly. The policy states how we obtain, gather and use your information. The policy may be amended as and when required. Each time you use the service, you acknowledge, agree and affirm to our usage and disclosure of the information.

Collection of Data

We at KloudTalk care about protecting your personal information and keeping it safe. We only ask for your personal information when you register for a product, request a service, place an order or engage in some activities on our website. We require your information just to understand your needs and provide you with a better service.

You will be asked for your personal information in the following cases:

  • If you purchase a package then also you will be asked to provide us with your personal information to make the transaction process easy.
  • If you take a Free Trial of product
  • If you call us or chat with us to clear your queries then the support team will ask you to provide certain details such as name, phone number, etc. to make it convenient and solve your problem at the earliest.

However, it will be your personal decision whether you want to share your personal information with us or not.

But do note that if you do not provide us with your complete details then you may not be able to complete the registration process. This copy of the names and phone numbers in the address book is stored on a live database which does not have a backup. If the customer deletes the address book from our servers, it will be deleted at once and on a permanent basis.

Information We Collect

KloudTalk must receive or gather some information that will help in operating, providing, enhancing, understanding, customizing, supporting, and marketing our services, including when you install, access, or use the application.

The type of information we attain and gather depends on what way you use our services. In order to provide our services, we will need certain information from you.

For example: In order to create an account and use KloudTalk Services, you must provide your mobile number.

There are some optional features, which you can use after providing some additional information. Before collecting the information, we will notify you as appropriate. However, if you do not agree to provide the information, you cannot use that service.

You can easily manage the permission accessing the settings option in your Android or iOS devices.

Information You Provide

Your Account Information

If you want to create a KloudTalk account, you must provide your mobile number and email id. If you do not provide this information, you will not be able to create your account to use our services.

Your Phonebook Contacts

When you use KloudTalk Mobile App, we collect and store information about your contact in Phone book based on your permission. If you provide us the contact access permission, we can show you other users of KloudTalk from your phonebook with whom you can do free calling. In order to identify common app users, we shall upload your contacts to the server.

Your Messages

In order to provide you KloudTalk services, we do not retain your messages. We do not store your messages on our server for added safety. Your phone messages are saved on your devices.

After your messages are sent, these get deleted from the servers. However, in certain situation, we may store your messages during the delivery process:

  • Undelivered Messages. When a message does not get delivered right away (for instance, if the recipient is offline), we retain the message in encrypted form on our servers for a period of 30 days. If the message remains undelivered after 30 days, we delete it.
  • Media Forwarding. When a user forwards a message that has media within, that media gets temporarily stored on our servers in encrypted form as this helps in more efficient delivery of additional forwards.

Our services are end-to-end encrypted. By this, we mean that your messages are encrypted to protect against us and third parties from reading them.

Your Connections. Using the Contact Upload feature, you can provide us, if allowable by applicable laws, with the phone numbers in your address book on a regular basis, including those of users of our Services and your other contacts. If any of your contacts aren’t yet using our Services, we’ll manage this information for you in a way that ensures those contacts cannot be identified by us. You can create, join, or get added to groups and broadcast lists, and such groups and lists get associated with your account information. You can name your groups along with profile picture and description.

Status Information. You may share your status with us if you choose to include one on your account. Learn how to use status on Android, iPhone

Customer Support and Other Communications. For customer support queries and other communication, you may share information related to your usage of our Services, along with copies of your messages, any other information that you consider helpful, and your contact information, such as an email address, with us. For instance, you may send us an email with information relating to app performance or other related issues.

Do we keep the information confidential?

Yes, we maintain the confidentiality of all information collected by us. We never share any information of service providers or end customers with any third-party organization.

This includes information such as hardware model, operating system information, battery level, signal strength, app version, browser information, mobile network, connection information (including phone number, mobile operator or ISP), language and time zone, IP address, device operations information, and identifiers (including identifiers unique to Meta Company Products associated with the same device or account).

Location Information. We collect and use precise location information from your device with your permission when you choose to use location-related features, like when you decide to share your location with your contacts or view locations nearby or locations others have shared with you. There are certain settings relating to location-related information which you can find in your device settings or the in-app settings, such as location sharing. Even if you do not use our location-related features, we use IP addresses and other information like phone number area codes to estimate your general location (e.g., city and country). We also use your location information for diagnostics and troubleshooting purposes.

We use cookies to operate and provide our Services, including to provide our Services that are web-based, improve your experiences, understand how our Services are being used, and customize them.
